Jazz auf dem Wiener Opernball?


Jedes Jahr findet in der Wiener Staatsoper der berühmte Opernball statt. Weltstars wie Harry Belafonte, Sophia Loren, Claudia Cardinale sorgen für die nötige Portion Glamour.

Ich selbst war noch nie auf dem Opernball, habe aber natürlich viel davon gehört und darüber gelesen. Jetzt habe ich von Thomas Nennstiel erfahren, dass parallel zum Opernball in den Räumlichkeiten der Staatsoper ein Rahmenprogramm stattfindet das nicht unbedingt mit Walzer zu tun hat.

Unter den Mitwirkenden des Musikprogramms der Ballnacht findet man Solopianisten,Popsänger,Salsa Combos und eben den Sylter Saxophonisten Yampal. Unter hinter diesem Künstlernamen verbirgt sich kein anderer als Thomas Nennstiel, den Lesern meines Blog sicherlich schon bekannt von seinem traumhaften Video am Strand von Sylt.

Thomas hat mir vor ein paar Tage eine Mail geschickt und mir von seiner neuen CD “my opernball favorites” berichtet. Diese CD ist jetzt im Handel erhältlich und ab Juni über die gängigen Downloadportale erhältlich.
